On behalf of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), we bring to your attention for the 8th consecutive year the brochure “Bulgaria in figures” 2017.
Despite the global turbulences in 2016, the Bulgarian economy is developing even better, which is evidenced by objective indicators. Bulgaria is the 6th among the 28 EU member-states by economic growth (3.4%) and unemployment has fallen to its lowest levels since 2009. Public finances have improved considerably and for the 1st time in 7 years we will finish the year with a balanced budget. Bulgaria remains among the countries with the lowest government debt, below 30%. This is the 3rd lowest in the EU. We have also published Bulgaria’s ranking in more than 20 international prestigious classifications.
Bulgraia has started preparing for its upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2018, focusing on 3 priorities: Competitiveness, Cohesion and Culture.
The Booklet has been compiled by courtesy of: National Statistical Institute, Bulgarian National Bank and InvestBulgaria Agency.
